Check-in will run starting on Thursday, February 10, at 11:00 am for all (especially Walking Fleece animals) and continue on Friday, February 11, until 2:00 pm for all others. 

Walking Fleece animals must be checked in by 5:00 pm on Thursday, as Walking Fleece Judging will begin at 8:00 am Friday Morning.

Once again, we will offer Education Seminars on Friday!

2022 Show Schedule:

February 9:

 1:00-5:00 PM:  Volunteers Working on Set-up

February 10: 

9:00 AM-11:00 AM: Volunteers and Staff may Check In Alpacas

11:00 AM-4:00 PM: Check In for ALL arrivals (Walking Fleece MUST Check In today.)

5:00 PM: Color Check Ends

5:30 PM: Judge Verification for ALL Thursday Check Ins

CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS: Follow signs to south side. Health check will occur in your trailers. Proceed to unload and

immediately move animals to color Check In arena. There is limited space and we need you to move out of the main

Check In spaces quickly.

February 11: 

8:00 AM-1:00 PM:  Walking Fleece Show Judging

 8:00 AM-2:00 PM:  Check In, Compliance and Color Check (Arena) for all other exhibitors

9:00 AM-4:00 PM:  EDUCATION SEMINARS (Open to the Public -- see Seminars section) and Vendors 

2:00 PM:  Judge Challenges and Verification for TXOLAN Sweetheart and Bluebonnet Stakes Halter

6:00 PM: Meet & Greet Reception -- Great appetizers and cash bar in the Arena

 February 12:

 8:00 AM:  Mandatory Exhibitors Meeting

8:30 AM:  Fleece Show Judging (Closed to Exhibitors and the Public)

8:30 AM-5:00 PM:  (Open to the Public) Sweetheart Spectacular & Bluebonnet Stakes Halter Shows, Silent Auction and Open Market Vendors

8:30 AM-9:30 AM:  Youth Performance Mini-Clinic by Staci Forshee (Public welcome to participate)

9:30 AM-12:00 PM:  Youth Judging Clinic by Stephanie Glyptis (Public welcome to participate) followed by Youth Judging Competition

 12:00 PM-1:00 PM:  Lunch Break -- Annual Membership Meeting -- Lunch served for members only

1:00 PM Until Completed:  Youth Performance Competition:  Obstacle, PR, Showmanship & Costume Contest

6:00 PM-10:00PM+/-:  Banquet and Auction at The Wellington next to the Holiday Inn Express  *New SURPRISE entertainment, spectacular dinner in the banquet room and exciting live auction.  Full of knee slappin' fun!  Yeeehaw!

February 13: 

8:00 AM Until Completed:  (Open to the Public)  Both Halter Shows, Fleece Show, Silent Auction, and Open Market Vendors

 11:00 AM:  Silent Auction Closes

12:00 PM-1:00 PM:  Lunch

 February 14:  Must be loaded out by 10:00 AM

The 2021 TXOLAN Sweetheart Spectacular once again reflected a small growth factor over 2020 making us one of the few shows in the nation that continues to progress!  That more than demonstrates the quality of our event and the focus we all put in to remaining one of the best alpaca events in the country.  No one is saying we will surpass the larger shows anytime soon, though we can say that we provide a truly solid jump on the new year for both your competitive and educational objectives.  

Currently, Texas is fully open with respect to Covid 19.  However, should Covid restrictions return in the Winter of 2022 we will follow prescribed proper safety procedures... such as face mask, social distancing and sanitation.  

As always we'll be working to add additional vendors and expand on our public relations activities to continue the strong growth we realized in 2021 in this area.
