Ice baby is a proven dam of crias with much improved fiber. She has good conformation and bite, and produces color crias.

We need the space and we are concentrating on dark color production so she can be yours at a great price.

As a full Peruvian (3/4 Accoyo, 1/4 Allianza), Polar benefits from many Peruvian greats like Caligula, Victor, Hemingway, Paloma, and Royal Fawn. However, though his dam is white, with the exception of her and another alpaca, Polar's lineage is all color until you get to the fifth generation back. This included his fawn herdsire, Ferrari's Hemicaccoyo Icon, now deceased. With his sire gone, Polar is stacked with solid genetics that are becoming increasingly harder to find in such combination.

We have had a good showing with Polar, both as a juvenile and yearling, that demonstrates his solid placement in a breeding program looking to bring fine, shiny, dense fiber to their herd.In Polar's juvenile fleece (even when loaded with all kinds of dirt and debris that locked onto his tui tips) showed a beautiful high frequency crimp along a long-stapled, creamy and lustrous fiber. This fiber covered his body and his consist crimp style was consistent from shoulder to rear.

Space is a premium for us right now, so we are offering Polar at $75 if bought with any other alpaca from our farm -- yes that includes other fiber males (at their full sales price).

The unfortunate victim of a small show, Polar was dinged for an 'inconsistency' of color due to having fawn fibers dispersed throughout his light fawn fleece. Not uncommon in fawns, these darker fibers could not compare with the beige (essentially 'off white') alpacas that placed above. In fact, Polar was the ONLY light fawn alpaca in this beige class!

The judge said Polar was recognized for his fine fiber with its uniformity lending to a nice handle, placing in third due to a shorter staple than 1st (from a NM farm that shears earlier than we do) and 2nd (a Golden Legend son -- having this bloodline, we know that it presents very nicely long staple).
